Jean Boris Lacroix (1902–1984) perfected the use of glass and metal. transforming industrial grade materials into objects of luxury in a Cubist style. While serving as the artistic director of Vionnet fashion house from 1924-1937. Lacroix also produced lighting. objects. and furniture under his own name. The pieces he created. modernist in the truest sense. standout for their pioneering collage of materials and strict geometric vocabulary. The artist's monogram is stamped on the metal base.
